Wednesday Four
Pyramid - York (UK)
The Wednesday Four are a close-knit group of four artist friends who meet weekly in Scarborough to share their passion for art. Our gatherings provide a space to discuss works in progress, offer constructive feedback, exchange ideas, and inspire one another—all while enjoying a much-needed catch-up. It’s a privilege to be surrounded by such a supportive and creative community. This exhibition marks the first time the four of us have come together to showcase our work, and we’re excited to share this special moment with you.
OUT OF THE EARTH
Yew Tree Gallery - Cornwall (UK)
Out of the Earth invites viewers to explore the profound connection between humanity and the natural world through a collection of works that reflect the rhythms, textures, and transformations of the Earth. Featuring artists like Shirley Vauvelle, whose sculptural pieces evoke the weathered surfaces of rocks and boulders, the exhibition highlights the strength and fragility of nature. Shirley Vauvelle’s use of stoneware, tool marks, and found objects gathered from wild places serves as a meditation on erosion, the passage of time, and the interconnectedness of life. This exhibition offers a moment to reflect on the ever-changing face of the planet and our role within its delicate balance.
